Fountain Grass is an independent children's book publisher, founded and lead by Ryan Meservey. Our books celebrate the surprises and joy that come with being alive. We consider it our greatest honor to create books for our little ones that help them grow into loving, resilient human beings.
Ryan leads Fountain Grass from his home in Palo Alto, California. His muse is his four year-old son. Without his son's questions, comments, and repeated requests for retellings, none of the books we create would have taken shape.
Ryan's wife, Lindsey, has played copy editor and artistic director throughout the book making process. If you were to distill three focus groups into one person, that person would be Lindsey. Her genius and sacrifice lay the foundation for this publishing house.
